"Pardon me as well Ulani, but what little information you gave us regarding Capital seems biased in the extreme, which is why we asked The Avulin to share how their negotiations with Capital had gone. Though since they came to Uthina's people's aid, I feel I can assume such first contact went well," she interjected. "And if they seem as civil as the Avilun's first contact went, we were hoping we could start negotiations with them in order to better assure the safety of Union citizens."

Ulani laughed loudly "Biased? I can hardly call fact biased. Capitol only plays politics to worm their way into bed with you, I can assure they have either tried to tie themselves to the Avilun or use their aid to dig themselves further in or they will try to bait you into some sort of pact" He shook his head "Everything given from us to you is the records of their actions in the past, test it all you like, none of it’s tampered. They are the only people in Ancerious who thought it prudent to destroy an entire solar system, citizens and all."

"Right now, that is neither here nor there," San'Gul said politely. "For right now we are not here to discuss your factions continual bickering with Capitol, and I had assumed I could trust you to leave such biases from looking at the situation between the Avulins and The System regardless of Capitol's involvement or not. And if such assumption is wrong then I would ask you to leave these negotiations till they are done, Ulani."

Hearing what Ulani had to say about Capitol made Captain Ekar pay close attention to what was being said. If Capitol was like how Ulani described, then the Empire needed to know and prepare for their first encounter with them.

Both Terina and the Captain decided to remain silent through this.

Ulani laughed again "Bickering? So billions being murdered in genocide is bickering?" He muttered "That was what I was going to say next. About the actions of the System Empire," he gestured to the System rep, "And your claim to engage the Avilun was about as legitimate as me suddenly deciding to engage and destroy as many of your ships as I like because for instance you won’t give me your exact engine reactor designs. You attacked and killed civilians because they refused an outrageous demand that any logical race would have refused.”
"If I may suggest something, Madam... San'Gul, was it? What if Ulani here is right? It's clear he and his people have dealt with this Capitol for a while now. I believe disregarding his word is a mistake. I think we can agree that we should be wary of Capitol for now," Captain Ekar said.

"Again... that is for later, not now," San'Gul replied respectively. "As I have some questions about Capitol's new Empress, as well as for Ulani's lack of consideration for the billions of Capital's citizens that have also been killed in these conflicts."

She then breathed in deep.

"Having said that, Seeker of Friendship, is this true that you attacked the Avulin people just because they refused to share schematics with you?" she said, quirking an eyebrow. "If that is something you deem to be logical then why did you not attack us for not sharing with you the mineral we call Naquadah?"

Seeker frowned. "But you did share naquadah with us. But truth be told, we attacked them for their territory and for the potential technological gain."

Uthina thinks to herself -How many fucking uninhabited stars separate us and the System A.I..-

"Not immediately, in fact we refused to share anything until the negotiations started, and it seemed you didn't even allow the Avilun that simple courtesy," San'Gul replied, growling and baring her fangs just a little. "For a race that prides itself on how logical you are, I find the hostile action you took against The Avilun as foolish at best"

"Neither I nor my counterparts have stated that we pride ourselves on being logical. Although to be honest you are ignoring a much simpler answer and it surprises me." she paused, ignoring San'Gul and her fangs. "Either way, it is useless to lecture me. I am not your subordinate San'Gul. If you want to hold a peace conference, then do so, and I will participate. But this is not going to turn into an ethics lecture."

"San'Gul, I wish to make this short and easy,” Uthina said, “The Avilun will be willing to accept a peace treaty with the System A.I. with the following conditions: One, the system a.i. shall not come within 5,000 Light years of Avilun Territory. Two, a sensor grid shall be set up at the 5,000 year boundary to ensure the former condition is followed. Finally the third condition is any future hostile and or unprovoked expansion commenced by the System A.I. shall null and void the peace treaty."

Seeker turned her attention to Uthina. "If by your third condition you mean hostile activity towards the Avilun, then the System accepts your offer"

Uthina smiles a bit and says "Alright then, I'll make it clearer. Any hostile and aggressive expansion into anyone the Avilun have just met or are friendly with will end this peace treaty and war will resume. Of course, you don't have to agree to this third condition, but i believe those who have come to our aid and those here will find it acceptable."

San'Gul nodded. "I find these terms... generous considering the mess The System has gotten itself into."
"We will accept your terms then, provided that you give us a list of your current friendly relations so that we may avoid their space," Seeker replied, the empty eye sockets of her generic moldable face staring straight into those of Uthina.

Uthina soon said, "Sure, we'll give you the list. Mind you, it’s continuously growing since the Avilun kingdom does like meeting and getting to know other friendly races."

"Then I suggest you find a way to make sure this information stays relevant then," San'Gul suggested. "Perhaps this is a role we can preform?"

"We will accept a list now, which will be frozen. Future interactions with other civilizations will be handled by us depending on the situation."

"The terms of the treaty include any star nation you might attack for no reason or a very poor reason and we meet the next day, Seeker of Friendship," Uthina said.

"We are not going to bind ourselves to all of your future potential friends. Especially considering you seem to have made friends with potentially hostile forces such as Capitol, according to Ulani. Therefore provide a list of your friends now and we will honor it, as with all of our treaties," Seeker answered

Ulani nodded "These.terms are good for peace. After all the Union endorses peace in all situations. Perhaps it is wise for a list of current relations as well as those currently underway rather than just all those in the future too" he said looking to the System rep who spoke of relations with Capitol. Ulani would find out how entwined they were with the Avilun in a private meeting.

"That would be acceptable" Seeker replied, glad that the Ulani seemed to think similar to her train of thought. The System had actually gained quite a bit of information recently from both the Union information the Ye'Tule had provided as well as the information from Capitol. Enough in fact that the battle with the Avilun, while not necessarily a military victory, had paid off.

Ekar and Terina were glad an agreement had been made, though neither of them would be surprised if the attention was soon turned to them, the new race that only the Aviluns knew so far.

Uthina says, "I believe this will be acceptable for my king"

San'Gul nodded. "As a whole yes," she stated. "But I would like for you, Seeker of Friendship, to remember The Ye'Tule will not support such foolish actions, now or again. And I am still going to report this to The Ma'Tule, who will then decide how our own relations shall be changed, and they shall I assure you."

"Now that this is over, I wish to meet with you San'Gul and Ulani of the Union to discuss other things," Uthina said.

"After we assure a non-aggression pact from both of you, I’d rather not have either of your forces taking potshots just for the hell of it in my system," San'Gul pointed out politely.
"We never asked you for help nor even notified you in the first place" Seeker replied, ignoring San'Gul's attitude, despite the annoyance. "But back to the point, if that is all of the business, then I will leave."

"Why is there need of a non aggression pact?” Uthina asked, “We have  a peace treaty and are no longer at war."

"Sadly not until peace is assured, I honestly don't care if your two nations go to war at this point or not regardless of the talks here. And sadly I feel that it is still likely that such a war will take place," San'Gul informed, her eyes hardening. "Which is why, your Ancestors be damned, I will have written assurance that at least here in the Territory of The Pack, you two will not come to blows here. Or Ancestors help me I will remove your presences from my System this instant with all the force The Pack has at her disposal."

Ekar made a note to not disagree with San'Gul without an army behind him. Terina thought the same thing, but instead with a force of Legionnaires.

Terina decided to speak though, and hope for the best. "Um, Madam San'Gul, unless I'm mistaken, this is now a matter between the Avilun and the System. How they decide to finalize it is up to them. As sovereign nations, they have the right to go through with this as they see fit."

"You already have a promise of nonaggression from us. We are not going to fight in this or any of your systems San'Gul," Seeker replied. "And we have already agreed to peace with the Avilun. We do not break our agreements."

"The Avilun have also signed a peace treaty and will not sign a non aggression pact as there is absolutely no reason for it."

San'Gul sighed. "I suppose then that is that then," she said, though the female still seemed rather guarded.

"Will that be all then?" Seeker inquired.

"For now, I have a feeling Ulani will have his own concerns to voice, but I feel that we all need a moment to gather ourselves before we continue," she replied.

"I agree," Terina said to San'Gul, "I think now would be a good time to take a break from this. This certainly wasn't what I was expecting when Uthina brought us here."

"Well, I guess everything turned out alright," Ekar quietly said to his wife.

"They'll be asking us questions soon enough. It's too bad we can't make anything official," Terina said.

"Then we shall dismiss for now," San'Gul said, nodding her head. "We will reconvene in one planetary hour if that is alright with you all."

"It is acceptable," Seeker replied, standing up.

Ulani nodded. "Of course." He stood up and exited the room, eager to potentially message the Avilun representative for a future meeting.
