In a small sector of Carnaithian space, a number of small mining ships scurried about a large lifeless rock surrounded by an asteroid feild, carrying material of worth back to motherships, which numbered six. they were in groups of three, one of each group being unarmed yet carrying more efficient mining gear as the two groups orbited the larger rock. a group of six purpose-built combat ships mingled with the two groups as well, each of them having a support group of two destroyers and 2 cruisers, with picket fighters running patrol sorties through the smaller rocks.
Delmortes pirate ships had been laying in wait in the asteroid belt - dead. Literally. The ships completely disabled. And the bodies not making any form of heat or sound. To the radars, the Delmortes, which were a few thousand kilometers away, were invisible.

And had been waiting for the Carnaithian outpost. Studying it. Learning the patterns. And now, was a good time.

Three signals would come up on the Carnaithian radars, which would shake awake the miners' lives - three ships which began ramming out of the asteroid field, heading in a wide formation towards the Carnaithian position, and wasting no time, targetting and preparing to fire.

The three sharks sped on forth, at ramming speed.
"Unidentified ships, report your intent and slow down. You are encroaching on a mining operation of the Carnaithian Empire without permission or distress call. Repeat, state your intent and slow down." Said the transmission of a fighter pilot, as it darted behind a wall of rocks a few hundred kilometers away from the unknown ships. The capital ships began to turn, forming a vaguely 'H' shaped formation, with the two cruisers, Ozarks, made a line and the four destroyers of which were sickle-class ships making the tips of the letter's arms. They began to send out more fighters to flank the ships in the case of combat, as well as power up their sheilds.
"REPEAT, State. Your. Intent!" Again sent the fighter pilot, his squadron powered down behind a large rock that one of the ships was due to pass.

The ships didn't wait for cerenomy as very loud, crazed madness boomed loudly into Carnaith ships' comms, the three ships focusing their fires into the central ship - all firing at once their entire very high powered thermal weapons into the center of the formation - right into it's center, all the while spreading away, and heading as fast.

Their point defense lasers began firing into the asteroids which were in their way, making them smaller for easier and harmless ramming - the gunners a bit too "trigger happy" . They were not stopping... Only charging ever faster.

One of the cruisers, with it's sheilds not fully up yet, had it's side engines detonate, sending it careening sideways into space as sounter-thrusters fired manicly to stop the spinning and movement. The other cruiser took heavy damage to sheilds, down to 50% already.
"Fuck it, all forces be ready to open fire when they weing back around! Picket fighters, fuck 'em up!" One of the captains yelled into comms, as one of the mining ships powered up it's FTL drive. The fighters began powering up again, as well as arming ASHM's, and began to give chase as a ship passed the asteroid they were sheletering behind.

The ships continued, although spreading apart, focusing their into the fly-away ship - the very intense beams racking all over it's spinning surface, as they then took aim alongside the ship's movement to the leftmost ship. The sharks' point defense firing at them hectically and randomly, targetting both fighters and missiles. Each sharks had 8 of these high intensity beamers.
"Destroyers making up right flank, move up to catch them in the belt, do it ASAP! keep those EMACCS charged!" The captain, apparently commander of the group, said as the hostiles continued their advanced.  The cruiser that was taking more fire had armor carved from it's surface before a beam finally impacted it's reactor, making the ship detonate in it's entirety and spray Solaris fuel, now liquified, throughout the vacuum of space, while the other cruiser began to take more damage to sheilds... now 5%. The other two destroyers fired

EMACCS and solaris cannons, while the cruiser fired it's own missiles and prepped missiles.

The ships headed at full spead towards them, firing everything they had into the Carnaithian ships - and seeing them break formation, gathering relatively close, as they began to strafe and turn to one of the destroyers, firing everything they had into it, while retreating back into the asteroid belt - ever steadfastly screaming, screeching and booming into the comms.

The EMACCS were narrowly missed due to the sudden change of movement, one of the EMACCS going wide and raking along a ship's side, it's surface plating ripped and burnt off, a trail of pressured flames and thunders lashing out, while the second took the EMACC into it's front, firing it's full laser loadout at the destroyer who had fired at it at the same time - the beamers flickering as the ship was stopped to a halt upon impact, it's front ripping open like a flower, bright green explosions occuring at it's front, the thrusters blinking, the ship blown off course, heading towards the mining operation all the while twisting.

"Taking fi-FUCK!" Screamed the comms operator of the destroyer taking fire and down to 95% hull integrity, trailing fumes for a moment before blast doors activated, after it's sheilds ate damage, wjile the other quickly re-angled to get a bead on the ships, unleashing the three bolts of glowing metal towards it's quarry's rear, as well as firing one of it's two solaris cannons on beam mode, still in the process of charging the other. The destroyer who had critically damaged the hostile ship took some damage, down to 75% due to the beams cutting out. all the while, the freighter still charged it's FTL engines.

The seemingly out of control shark suddenly straightened up, it's trajectory arching, soon heading straight towards the freighter! It's four high energy beamers were each targeted with low accuracy on   the second damaged destroyer, firing upon it's side, while the two others focused fire on the very same ship.

The less-damaged Ozark cruiser redirected it's turrets at the rear of the damaged hostile, taking a few moments to calculate the trajectory. It fired, it's first shot from each of the two guns into it's current path, and the other two pairs into the most likely alternate pathways it could go, however it didn't calculate for it's loss of engines while firing the second two pairs. All the while, the destroyer was struck mercilessly, knocked out of the battle and it's life sputtering away in explosions of blue and yellow. Before it was done, it launched a salvo of burst missiles at the heavily damaged asailant, as well as it's crew evacuating from the escape pods and all remaining fighter pilots taking the remaining craft out of the rear hanger.

The freighter headed shark ignored the damage, as parts were sent flying - one of it's thrusters ripping off, and flying away, it's main beamer firing as it headed towards the cluster of Carnaithian ships in a kamikaze attempt by the engineers which fielded it, the one thrustered shark spiralling towards the freighter, it's opened front burning, parts flying off, soldiers tossed out, wiggling into space, while the two others sharks spread appart, focusing their fire now on the Ozark cruiser, their point defense targetting the missiles headed for the doom ridden shark, parts splitting from the ship which was thundering, and on fire, spiralling and readjusting randomly and inaccurately. It wouldn't ram at full strentgh. But it would still make contact.

The thruster which had flown away only sputtered up after getting a hit at a random ship (your choice), it exploding violently and very brightly.

Another frieghter saw the ship heading for the freighter which was powering up FTL, as it decided to power engines to full as to attempt to ram the ship before it impacted the other freighter, even activating it's measly ranged armament. The situation with the military craft continued to deteriorate, the two fully intact destroyers firing at one of the hostiles as they charged the Ozark, firing their own missiles as they approached.

The sharks spread apart, planning to flank the formation, all the while firing - but this formation lead to each ships only being able to present 50% of their point defense beamers facing the Carnaithian ships. This also meant only the turrets could fire - and did so, the point defense firing at the missiles which were headed towards them, the ships focusing their turrets on the most armed ship still in the field.

The doom ridden shark continued it's lethal charge towards the freighter, parts breaking and splintering off and away, it's surface being covered in explosions and flames - it's surface torn, melted, crackled and rounded.

The two ships both began to take damage. "Anyone happen to notice they target the most recent firer?" a cre member inquired, causing the commander to call out. "All ships, target these co-ordinates, be ready to fire with everything you've got" He said, sending a message to all combat ships while the freighter rumbled towards the enemy ship... closer to it than it was to the freighter charging FTL. It was going to be close, with the freighter ready to activate portals.

The charging, chaffing shark began breaking up, dislocating from all sides and parts ripping, as everything began to head towards the freighter - surviving delmortes holding onto the parts, riding them.

The two other sharks, on the other hand, turned to face the leftmost of the two ships, focusing their entire loadout upon it.

The ships got about half their salvo out before an FTL portal appeared in front of one, the other right next to the large rock. The freighter that was intercepting was only a few kilometers away from the hostile, but it was too late, the other freighter would be struck, but even less damage would be done than before. Nevertheless, there was tons of shrapnel to worry about. Meanwhile, one of the destroyers took hits until it was down to 80% integrity, the rest of the ships firing salvos at the co-ordinates... in front of the other hostile. of course, the farther ships' weaponry would take longer to get there, and were aimed differently. It was more likely their shots would be dodged at this point.

The ships continued to strafe, heading to be at the opposite-most side of the formation, all the while focusing their fire into the more damaged ship, while the heavily damaged shark was finally no more.

The shots firing from the Carnaithian ships weren't targetted into the Delmortes ships... Which froze up, their comm arrays being "ringed".

The Commander blinked a momnent, as the projectiles ripped away in front of the ships, the portal still sitting in front of one of them. The scene almost seemed like a comical movie with an abruptly ending barfight.
"Comms, answer that call. All ships, charge the next volley, just in case." He said, as the hostile's call was answered, the transmission flickering to life.

The person spoke with a raspy, coughy voice.
"H-hi there... we noticed you firing randomly down there... Is everything okay? Do you need help with anything?"

The commander blinked a moment. "Is this some kind of sick goddamn joke?"
"No, I'm serious. Do you need some technichal assistance?"

The commander clicked a few buttons. The shots that had passed by passed right into the ships' path. The ones the farther ships fired were passing by currently, farther ahead but still in their path. "Fuck this." He said after muting the call. "Destroyer one, fire at the bastards. Two, hold your fire a moment" He said, shortly after, three bolts emmitted from the destroyer flanking his ship, the three of them had already angled to face them.

The ships spun and thrusted forth, facing their right thruster towards the payload as they pushed forth - the very wide screens being ripped appart, and the ships being spun away in their trajectory, which allowed them to turn  and face the most damaged ship, focusing their fire into it - both ships, however, had their right thruster flickering, the right thruster gun destroyed.

They contacted another ship.
"I think I may have insulted your leader by mistake. I wish to apologize on this regard. I understand our cultures are very different, and if we get to know each others better, I'm sure you'll agree that we can be very good face eating buddies."

The captain of this ship redirected the message, the ship that had taken fire now had it's sheilds somewhat recharged and only took minor hull damage. The commander sighed this time.
"Are you being serious or are you planning some sort of ambush? Im not about to let my guys get killed." He said, tapping a few commands for a freighter to teleport a hostile into the middle of the large rock if they decided to attack.
"Naw, I'm sure we can come to an agreement that we can be best buddies!"

The ships began to thrust forth towards the command ship slowly.
"Afterall, we've both proven we can rape each others. Might as well take it all the way through right?"
"...Sure." Said the commander, thinking it's better that these guys were at least in some sort of cease-fire agreement than they were harassing Carnaithian assets. He still kept the other freighter ready to teleport one of the ships into the large rock, and the two destroyers moved to cover the hostiles as his cruiser sat in front of them, sheilds full to front.
The two ships headed towards the commanding ship slowly.
"How... do you feel about being eaten?"
The two ships headed much closer.

The Delmortes looked a bit surprised at first, then began screaming as the two ships charged in at full spead ahead, firing their entire loadout into the command ship - where they were going to ram.
The shields flickered as the ship took hits, before it unleashed three bolts of EMACCS fire and unleashed some missiles before it's command room took a critical hit and all comms died in the ship, the destroyers firing beams and EMACCS into the hostiles rear, the freighter putting a portal to the front-left of the cruiser

The two ships charged in for ram, continuing to charge forth - the main guns and two turrets focusing the the command ship, while one turret of each ships fired at the portal, the other at one of the destroyers, the shots ripping through and into the two Delmortes ships.

The ship was rammed by a hostile, taking heavy damage, the other failing to realize the portal wasn't a solid object, continuing straight for the gate. The destroyers took some damage... about 10% to each of their sheilds.

The cruiser, once rammed, received the Delmortes's sharks firing their entire payloads into the cruiser, while their turrets fired into the other destroyers - the sharks being literally ripped appart by the hail of fire comming from either sides

The Delmortes ships were pushing in the husk of the cruiser, and starting to make it spin, while the turrets continued to fire.

The destroyers took another five percent to sheilds, while the cruiser managed to detonate it's few nuclear missiles, originally meant for blastmining the rock, while the hostiles continued to ram it.

The nukes took the delmortes ships by surprised, the two ships violently thrown out of the Carnaithian cruiser's husk, their front seared and crackled. Their sides torn up, the ships burning up, they each faced and focused on one destroyer, charging and firing all they had towards it.

The first had lost it's upper turrets and most of it's nose beamers, while the second had lost it's thruster beamers and a turret.
The destroyers focused fire on the nose of the enemy ship with more armament left, firing EMACCS and both solaris cannons into it's somewhat damaged maw.

The destroyer which had lost most of it's nose weapons was easily ripped and split open by the EMACCS - the shells penetrating the crackled, damaged hull and ripping out the other side, the Solaris cannons ripping and melting at what was left of it, that destroyer violently exploding, it's guns firing one last time all energy it had into the Carnaithian destroyer.

The second, strafed, leading to a few shots going into the other ship (your choice), while firing it's weaker guns into the destroyer, the salvos ripping into it's sides, panels and chunks flying and burning off.
One destroyer began to burn and break apart a bit, the other taking a few minir shots that took it down to 55% sheilds, both of which fired more into the other ship.

The ripped open, melted and exploding shark splattered all over the heavily damaged Carnaith destroyer, the remains crashing upon the wrecked Carnaith destroyer, as the last remaining Delmortes ship began to charge towards the more damaged and closer destroyer recklessly - whether the closest was through the portal, or not so.

The last destroyer angled to the ship charging it... It fired a large number of it's missiles and torpedoes, as well as it's Spinal EMACCS and Solaris guns, this time the solaris guns were on 'thrower' mode, working like massive flamethrowers in the middle of the vacuum. The weapon's combined recoil requiring mass use of thrusters to counteract the last-ditch action.

This proved to be relatively efficient against the notably shield less shark, armor panels ripping off, an entire side just collapsing off, shrapnel and thunder ripping, tossing and twisting left and right as the shark continued it's desesperate charge. The torpedoes crushed into it's front, the thruster beamers exploding, and the front ripping open, the entire structure's integrity bending upon itself, the ship twisting uncontrolled upon itself as it headed uncontrollably towards the Carnaith destroyer, one thruster flying off in the distance and exploding in a bright pink explosion.

Inside, the Delmortes were hyped - sabers and thermal guns in their hands, hoping to board the ship - them jumping out of the derelict ship - the rear exploding. Of the 200 Delmortes which had been on the ship, only 42 made it out of the ship - this number toned down further by the firestorm unleashed by the Carnaith destroyer which burned, ripped and tore at them.

Needless to say, only a single Delmortes landed upon the ship's surface... If it could be called one. It was only the torn up, ripped and burnt remains of one.

The Carnaith defence fleet had managed to kill the 3 frigates.
